Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Shibuya Incident Arc Start Date Announced

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is just around the corner, ready to captivate viewers as part of the exciting new wave of anime set to hit screens in the Summer 2023 anime schedule. The highly anticipated Shibuya Incident Arc episodes now have an official start date confirmed! Building upon Gege Akutami's original Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the anime's second season will delve into three significant story arcs. The initial episodes will cover the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death arcs, while the subsequent wave of episodes will adapt the colossal Shibuya Incident arc, which holds immense importance in the manga.

Fans have eagerly awaited news on when the Shibuya Incident Arc episodes would grace the screen, as promotional materials for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 have primarily focused on the Gojo's Past saga, encompassing the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death Arcs. Rather than postponing the arc's debut until the second cour of the season, which would have meant waiting until October, Jujutsu Kaisen has delightedly announced that the Shibuya Incident Arc episodes will kick off on August 31st in Japan.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode Schedule Revealed

According to the official Jujutsu Kaisen anime website, the upcoming episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, airing from July 6 to August 3, will delve into the Gojo's Past Arc. Subsequently, on August 10th, there will be a recap episode covering Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. This will be followed by another recap episode on August 17th, summarizing the events of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1. After a brief break during the week of August 24th, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will resume with the first episode of the highly anticipated Shibuya Incident Arc. Although specific episode numbers have not been disclosed yet, fans can rest assured that the major arc of the season is drawing closer.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is set to premiere worldwide on July 6th, and Crunchyroll will exclusively stream the new season alongside the episodes' debut in Japan. While it remains unknown if the special recap episodes will be included in Crunchyroll's streaming offering, fans can mark these concrete dates on their calendars, ensuring they are ready for the release of each new episode.
