Loki Season 2 Report Details Action Scene With Loki, Mobius, Victor Timely & Miss Minutes
According to a recent report, it has been revealed that Loki Season 2 will feature a substantial action sequence involving the God of Mischief, Mobius, Victor Timely, and Miss Minutes.
As per The Cosmic Circus, the second season of Loki takes Tom Hiddleston's titular character and Owen Wilson's Mobius to the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893 Chicago, Illinois. During their time there, the duo will come across Victor Timely, a variant of Kang played by Jonathan Majors, who was introduced in the post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Timely will make an appearance at the historical event to showcase one of his many inventions, showcasing them under the banner of "Victor Timely and his Astounding Emporium Marvels." Alongside Victor Timely and Miss Minutes, Loki and Mobius will participate in a significant action sequence, although specific details about it have been kept under wraps.
The report also states that Loki Season 2 will traverse multiple branched timelines, with the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893 being just one of the many settings. While some of these timelines will be familiar to Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, others are said to be entirely new. Previously leaked set photos from Loki Season 2 showed Loki encountering Sylvie, another variant of Loki, working at a McDonald's in the 1970s. Additionally, other set images and teasers have revealed Loki and Mobius dressed in tuxedos, attending film premieres in various decades.
What Happens in Loki Season 2?
In a recently unveiled synopsis for Loki Season 2, it is revealed that the story continues after the shocking season finale, with Loki embarking on a fierce battle to reclaim the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Joined by Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a combination of familiar and fresh faces, Loki delves into an ever-expanding and increasingly perilous multiverse in his quest to locate Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and uncover the truth about the essence of free will and glorious purpose. Notably, merchandise associated with the season appears to have unveiled several additions to Loki's team, including Ke Huy Quan from Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Jonathan Majors in Loki Season 2
Majors, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror in the first season of Loki, has recently faced legal issues following his arrest for assault earlier in 2023. As a result, some fans have voiced their concerns and called for Marvel to remove Majors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). They argue that given the concept of multiversal variants, another actor could easily replace him, particularly for the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. While the future of Majors in the MCU remains uncertain, a recent report suggests that Loki Season 2 concludes with a potential "solution" for his replacement.
The premiere date for Loki Season 2 has been set for Oct. 6.
