The debut season of "High Card" premiered on January 9 and consisted of 12 captivating episodes that left fans eager for more.

As described by Crunchyroll, the plot of "High Card" is characterized as: "After discovering that his orphanage was on the brink of closing due to financial stress, Finn, who was living freely on the streets, set out for a casino with the aim of making a fortune. However, nothing could have prepared Finn for the nightmare that was awaiting him. Once there, Finn encountered a car chase and bloody shootout caused by a manʼs “lucky” card."

The highly anticipated anime "High Card" is directed by Junichi Wada (known for "Sakugan") at Studio Hibari, with the original character designs by the talented illustrator Ebimo. The main staff includes Nozomi Kawano, who serves as the character designer (previously worked on "Radiant"), and Naoki Kuroyanagi, the series composer (noted for being the script manager for "Rent a Girlfriend Season 2"). The captivating card designs are credited to BALCOLONY, adding a unique flair to the series.

Ensuring top-notch animation and action sequences are the main animators/action animation directors, Shunpei Mochizuki (also the character designer for "Sakugan") and Junichi Hayama (the main animator for "Golden Kamuy"). Meanwhile, Takashi Hashimoto takes on the role of the main animator/effects animation director, showcasing their expertise (co-effects animation director for "Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram").

The talented main cast includes Gen Sato as Finn Oldman, Toshiki Masuda as Chris Redgrave, Shun Horie as Leo Constantine Pinochle, Haruka Shiraishi as Wendy Sato, and Yuichiro Umehara as Vijay Kumar Singh, lending their voices to the captivating characters of "High Card."
