Kenjirou Tsuda to Star as Bram Stoker in Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Cast



Exciting news from the production team of Bungo Stray Dogs' fifth season as they revealed that esteemed voice actor Kenjirou Tsuda is set to join the voice cast as Bram Stoker, an immortal being and a key ally of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, belonging to The Decay of the Angel faction. Fans can look forward to witnessing Bram's intriguing character debut in the fourth episode of the fifth season, marking the 54th episode in the entire anime series.

Season five of Bungo Stray Dogs made its much-anticipated premiere on July 12, 2023. With the first two anime seasons released in 2016, followed by the third in 2019 and the fourth earlier this year, the franchise has continued to captivate audiences with its thrilling narrative and well-developed characters. Additionally, fans can relish in the animated feature film titled Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE, which was released in 2018. For those seeking to catch up on the series, Crunchyroll offers streaming access to the film and all previous seasons.

In the fifth season, the production team will see the return of some familiar faces, with Takuya Igarashi taking on the role of director once again, while Youji Enokido resumes his position as series screenwriter. Yumiko Kondou will be in charge of art direction, and Yukari Gotou will handle color design. Tsuyoshi Kanbayashi will oversee the compositing, and Taku Iwasaki will provide the musical composition. Animation production will continue to be handled by Bones.

In Season 4, "Bungo Stray Dogs" welcomed several new cast members to the series, including Takehito Koyasu as Nikolai G, Makoto Koichi as Teruko Okura, Akio Ootsuka as Ochi Fukuchi, Takeshi Kusao as Mushitarou Oguri, and Shouya Chiba as Sigma.







The anime adaptation of "Bungo Stray Dogs" is based on the manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. The manga first debuted in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine on December 4, 2012, and has since gained popularity with twenty-three tankoubon volumes released as of December 2022. Fans can look forward to the 24th volume scheduled for release on September 4, 2023.

In addition to the main series, there is a delightful spin-off manga titled "Bungo Stray Dogs WAN!" which received its own anime adaptation in 2021. The anime was co-produced by Bones and Nomad. Beyond the animated adaptations, the manga has served as inspiration for various other media, including a live-action movie, a stage play, light novels, and more. Its diverse range of adaptations has expanded the series' reach and appeal to fans across different formats.

The English release of the "Bungo Stray Dogs" manga is published by Yen Press, and their synopsis for the series goes as follows: "Having been kicked out of the orphanage, a despairing young man by the name of Atsushi Nakajima rescues a strange man from a suicide attempt–Osamu Dazai. Turns out that Dazai is part of an armed-detective agency staffed by individuals whose supernatural powers take on a literary bent!"
