Nights with a Cat: 1st Anniversary Key Visual Revealed

The production team behind the anime series "Nights with a Cat" has revealed a special new visual in celebration of its first anniversary. The artwork showcases the feline protagonist Kyuruga and their friend relaxing on their back.

After announcing the second season in January 2023, the anime premiered on March 8, 2023. Fans can look forward to the latest episode scheduled for release on August 30, 2023. The first season initially aired on Japanese television from August 4, 2022, to September 22, 2022, followed by a streaming release on YouTube from October 12, 2022, to January 11, 2023.

The anime "Nights with a Cat" boasts an impressive voice cast, featuring Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki lending her voice to Kyuruga.

Season one was skillfully directed and written by Minoru Ashina, known for their work on "Isekai Quartet." The character design and animation direction were expertly handled by Minoru Takehara, also from the "Isekai Quartet" team, while Kana Utatane, renowned for "Akebi's Sailor Uniform," composed the captivating music. Studio PuYUKAI took charge of the animation production for this series, ensuring high-quality visuals and captivating storytelling.

"Nights with a Cat" finds its origins in the web manga series created by Kyuryu Z. The captivating tale was initially serialized on the author's Twitter account before Kadokawa recognized its potential and officially published it in Comic Bridge in December 2019. Since then, five tankoubon volumes have been released, with the latest one available as of July 2023, delighting fans with the continued adventures of Kyuruga and their friends.

The manga series "Nights with a Cat" is skillfully presented in English by Yen Press, who aptly describes the story as follows: "When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!"
