"Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead" made its debut on July 9 as an anime adaptation of the manga published by Shogakukan. The manga, written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Koutaro Takata, has been described by Viz Media as follows:

"In a trash-filled apartment, 24-year-old Akira Tendo watches a zombie movie with lifeless, envious eyes. After spending three hard years at an exploitative corporation in Japan, his spirit is broken. He can’t even muster the courage to confess his feelings to his beautiful co-worker Ohtori. Then one morning, he stumbles upon his landlord eating lunch—which happens to be another tenant! The whole city’s swarming with zombies, and even though he’s running for his life, Akira has never felt more alive!"

The anime is under the direction of Kazuki Kawagoe, known for "Komi Can't Communicate," with Hanako Ueda as the assistant director, who previously worked on "Summer Time Rendering" ending 2 and other projects. The series composition is handled by Hiroshi Seko, recognized for his work on "Chainsaw Man." Kii Tanaka takes on the role of character designer, while Junpei Fukuchi is responsible for the zombie designs, having previously worked as the chief animation director for "Summer Time Rendering." Makoto Miyazaki contributes to the anime's musical composition, known for his work in "RPG Real Estate."

The animation production company behind "Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead" is BUG FILMS, with production assistance credited to SHAFT.

As for the main cast, Shuuichiou Umeda voices Akira Tendo, Tomori Kusunoki takes on the role of Shizuka Mikazuki, Makoto Furukawa lends his voice to Kenichiro, and Minami Takahashi portrays Beatrix.
