One Piece Day 2023 to Stream in English for the First Time
One Piece Day, an annual event in Japan that celebrates all things One Piece, has announced an exciting surprise for its English-speaking fans this year. They will be streaming an "English interpretation" of the special day, bringing the festivities to a wider audience.
To build anticipation for the event, One Piece Day released a thrilling promo video featuring Luffy's awe-inspiring Gear Fifth transformation. While Luffy has showcased this ultimate form a few times in the manga, anime fans have only caught a glimpse of it during the latest film in the franchise, One Piece Film: Red. As the War For Wano Arc unfolds in the television series, fans have been eagerly speculating whether this upcoming event will finally unveil Luffy's transformation in the series itself.
What is One Piece Day?
One Piece Day originated in 2017 as a celebration dedicated to the immensely popular shonen franchise. This year's event will be streamed on Friday and Saturday, July 21st and 22nd. As the event follows Japan's time zone, it will begin at 1 AM Pacific Time on the first night and then at 5:40 PM for the second night.
