Highly Anticipated Gridman Universe Movie to be Showcased in Malaysia and Singapore This Year

The Southeast Asian branch of Neofilms, a Hong Kong film distributor, has exciting news for anime fans in Malaysia and Singapore. The much-anticipated crossover anime film, "Gridman Universe," which features the casts of both the SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynzaenon series, is scheduled to hit theaters in Malaysia and Singapore within 2023. Fans will be treated to the original Japanese version with Simplified Chinese and English subtitles.

Having premiered in Japan on March 24, "Gridman Universe" is eagerly awaited by fans worldwide. The film is set for a Blu-ray release on October 25. The creative team behind the successful SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon series is returning for this crossover project. Director Akira Amemiya, scriptwriter Keiichi Hasegawa, character designer Masaru Sakamoto, sub-character designer Mayumi Nakamura, and music composer Shirou Sagisu are all on board for this exciting venture. Animation production will be handled by TRIGGER, with Graphinica taking charge of the 3DCG.

The highly anticipated "Gridman Universe" will see the return of an impressive ensemble of voice actors reprising their roles from the previous series. Hikaru Midorikawa will once again lend his voice to Gridman, while Yuuya Hirose takes on the character Yuta. Yume Miyamoto will portray Rikka Takarada, and Soma Saito will voice Sho Utsumi. Additionally, Junya Enoki, Shion Wakayama, Yuuichirou Umehara, Chika Anzai, Ryousuke Takahashi, Katsuyuki Konishi, Aoi Yuuki, Matsuya Masakaze, Mayumi Shintai, Kenichi Suzumura, and Karin Takahashi will reprise their respective roles in this highly-anticipated crossover anime film. The returning cast is sure to bring their exceptional talents and chemistry to the characters in "Gridman Universe."

SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon were broadcasted during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2021 anime seasons, respectively, each comprising 12 episodes. Both series draw inspiration from Tsuburaya Productions's 1993 tokusatsu series, Gridman: The Hyper Agent.

SSSS.Gridman: Yuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is, and now he’s seeing and hearing things that others don’t! A voice from an old computer tells him to remember his calling, and he sees a massive, unmoving creature in the distance. Nothing’s making sense—until the behemoth springs to life! Suddenly, Yuta is pulled into the digital world, reappearing in the real one as the colossal hero—Gridman!

SSSS.Dynazenon: The appearance of a kaiju followed by the entry of the gigantic robot, Dynazenon, leads Gauma to reveal his secret of being a “kaiju user.”
